Meet the Founders
Kids Welcomed was founded by sisters Vivian and Mel. Originally from Southern California, they now proudly serve families throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. As two of five siblings in a big family, they understand how important it is for events to feel inclusive and thoughtfully planned for everyone.
Vivian brings over five years of experience in childcare and leads team training, ensuring every child feels safe, seen, and genuinely welcomed. Mel brings nearly a decade of childcare experience and oversees parent communication and event logistics, ensuring a smooth and well-organized experience for every family.
Together, they combine compassion and structure to provide professional, on-site wedding and event childcare across Dallas–Fort Worth. Both founders are present at events, creating a calm and seamless experience from start to finish.
Why we started Kids welcomed
Kids Welcomed was born from personal experience.
While Mel was planning her own wedding, nearly twenty guests had to cancel at the last minute due to childcare challenges. It was a reminder of how often families miss meaningful moments simply because reliable, professional childcare is not available.
That experience revealed a real need in the Dallas–Fort Worth event community: trusted, on-site wedding childcare that allows parents to fully participate in celebrations without stress or divided attention.
Kids Welcomed was created to ensure families feel included, considered, and genuinely welcomed at life’s most important events.

About Our Team
Kids Welcomed works with experienced, professional caregivers who are background checked, CPR and First Aid certified, and selected for both competence and warmth.
Our team understands that event childcare is different from traditional babysitting. It requires organization, communication, calm leadership, and the ability to adapt within a fast-paced event environment.
We are not casual drop-in sitters. We are a structured, event-focused childcare team serving weddings, corporate events, church gatherings, and private celebrations throughout Dallas–Fort Worth.
